We started the year very ambitious with plans of selling our home, purchasing a new one, moving, and finishing support raising. It was amazing to see God move. We were able to prep our old house for showings and it sold quick. But that made our Support Raising in the Lexington area have a much more defined ending date!
March
Moving to Camp!
We finished up our support raising by God’s grace through His people and we started work the first week of March! Of which, like any new job, we had a lot to learn! We moved to a place in camp, which involved some quick maneuvering from some future friends at camp to get a place ready. We are super thankful for the amazing coworkers and friends we have made here! Our plan was to live at camp for a few weeks as our home got working toilets and other projects complete.
April-May
Helping at our 1st Camp Event!
Outdoor Education: Pioneer Days was a lot of fun. It was amazing to see and help all of the volunteers and staff turn camp into a field trip back to the 1800s.
May-July
Summer Camp!
Summer Camp was awesome! We were still living at Camp which worked out great for naps for the kids on the busy days. We even had help from some of the summer missionaries (teens/college students) working on our home.
August-December
Disaster Relief
Then the flood hit. Our home was finished just after and we worked on getting moved out of our camp home into our home. Thankfully our home just had a little water in the basement. This allowed the camp home we were using to house a family who lost their home in the flood. Camp transitioned into Disaster Relief and has been a home for families who lost their homes and teams coming to clean and rebuild.
