High School Week
Sunday starts our Family Camp week at Camp Nathanael and we have just finished up 4 weeks of Summer Camp so far.
Kid’s Club!
Tess has been leading the Kid’s Club this Summer which takes care of the many children of Mission Members and children of speakers/missionary speakers that come during this season. It has been fun yet overwhelming! At one point we had 11 kids one week, 10 of which were under the age of 5. 7 of them were under the age of 3! They have had lots of fun though playing with a sandbox, bike riding, sprinkler/kiddy pool days, puzzles and playdoh and crafts and of course, snack! (The kids favorite so far being frozen yogurt covered bananas!) The kids have had a blast spending lots of time with their friends.

Bible Classes (Digging Deeper into Scripture)!
I, Lee, have had some office work but has spent most of the summer teaching Bible classes each week. I’ve loved getting into the Bible with the campers and it has sparked a lot of great conversations.
During the Elementary School week we talked through what it means to follow and become more like Jesus even though we still sin. During Middle School week we learn about the Holy Spirit. Learning who the Spirit is, what the Spirit does, and how to walk in step with the Spirit. During High School week I got to teach a class on Jesus in the Old Testament. Which meant I got to be a nerd (in the most positive sense of the word) with some very bright High Schoolers.
How do Bible Classes at Camp work?
As campers come to camp they are assigned a class that is based on how many years they have come to camp. This prevents campers from hearing the same thing over and over. It also allows campers to progress through Christian basics to deeper theology. You want campers to start with the Gospel before learning about the Holy Spirit or apologetics (defending the faith).
Family Camp!
This week is Family Camp 7/2-7/5. A week dedicated to all things camp including worship, horses, swimming, games, and awesome food with families. If you are in the area you are welcome to join in the sessions and meals (even if you can just join us in the evening after work)! On Tuesday Evening, July 4th, there will be fireworks at camp! 🎆
- 8am Breakfast
- 10am Morning Service and Missionary speaker
- 12pm Lunch
- 2pm-5pm Afternoon activities
- 530pm Supper
- Evening Service at 730pm
Here’s the rest of summer camps schedule:

Pray with us!
This Summer's Theme Verse: "Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." - 1 Peter 3:15.
- Pray we finish the summer strong, as our kids especially are getting very tired.
- Pray for our foster son, K, as we are still unsure how long we will have him.
- Pray for K’s parents as they work their plan so they can be reunified.
- Pray for our campers during our last 2 weeks of camp, that God would start to prepare their hearts now to receive the Gospel and/or grow in their faith.
