May 2023
Today begins training for our summer missionaries (high schoolers and college students) who will be serving alongside us in Summer Camp Ministry.
Prep for Camp
May was filled with projects. May 8th-12th was our annual Work Week, which consists of daily times of worship together with the full staff and projects being worked on. It’s been followed up with the continued work to get ready for Summer Camp. Tess has got the Camp Store in working order, which had been flooded. Our gym is emptied of all cleaning supplies/rebuilding materials that were being used for cleanup after the flood. In the financial office we have purchased many items and activities for Summer Camp. One of the horse pastures got finished being fenced. Our Kid’s Club, which was also flooded, has been renovated and now has a fenced in playground (fence coming soon). And this is just the projects that I can currently remember because so much has been happening.

Prayers for the Summer of 2023
"Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." - 1 Peter 3:15.
This years theme is Challenge Accepted and each week campers will learn about what it means to sanctify the Lord God in their hearts. Sanctify means to make holy. It’s the act of setting something or someone apart as special/dedicated to God. And that’s exactly what the campers will be challenged to do in their hearts this Summer.
Because our mission organization is Scripture Memory Mountain Mission we are taking on the challenge of our family memorizing this verse this summer. There will be a lot of “what does that mean” questions from our 4 year olds especially. We’ll let you know how successful or not we are by the end of summer.😆
Lee will be teaching some of the classes during the summer. Tess will be working in the Kid’s Club, along with a summer missionary, taking care of the kids of our full-time staff each morning.
