What’s the Game Plan?

We wanted to give an update on where we are in the Support Raising process and what our timeframe is for moving to Camp Nathanael!

What’s happening right now?

We currently living in Nicholasville, KY and working at Lord’s Legacy Life Ministries. We have given notice that we will be resigning on January 7th. We want to honor our current ministry, so we are both continuing our positions to allow them time to find replacements and to help get them through the holiday season. Lee has served there as a manager for the past 4 years.

We are also working on wrapping up our volunteer positions at Immanuel Baptist Church where we have worshiped and served since 2014.

Where are we in the Support Raising process?

As mentioned in an earlier newsletter, we are taking a class in Support Raising. Support raising is something that we have not done before, so we are greatly appreciative for the Biblical foundation and practical steps involved in our learning. We have finished our reading for the class and have completed the online course work. The actual class will take place December 7th-9th and we are excited!

This past weekend, November 13th-14th, we made our first church presentation at Gray’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Cunningham, TN! That Saturday was spent at a church member’s house getting to know the pastor, his wife, their associate paster, and spent time meeting with new friends/Partners!

What’s our game plan for moving forward…

  • Currently, we are Part-Time Support raising. We are meeting with potential Partners and Churches when we can outside of work responsibilities and family time.
  • We will be leaving our jobs on January 7th.
  • We will then be able to go into Full-Time Support Raising meeting with new Partners (individuals, friends, and churches)!
  • During this time of Support Raising we will be selling our home and finding a place near camp to live.
  • Our goal is to be fully supported by monthly Partners by the end of February 2022!

We know that February 2022 is a bit of an ambitious goal. We also know that we are being called to the mission at Camp Nathanael. To take our time getting there would be disobedient to the call. We want to be good stewards with the time and mission God has put on our path and trust him with the results.

Thank you so much for partnering and praying with us!
