KickStart Soccer
KickStart soccer is under way! We have 2 kids playing this year, Jasper and Jude. This has been a great ministry happening at Camp Nathanael allowing kids to be on a local soccer team and hearing about Jesus every practice and game! It also encourages families to sign up their child for Day Camp (for those finishing 1st-3rd grade) or Grade School or Middle school camps! Our kids have enjoyed learning to play on a team and the rules of soccer, playing with their friends!
Married Couples Retreat
Couples Retreat is also a big ministry at Camp that happened in April. This is actually our only kid-free event we do at Camp, but we love pouring into married couples, allowing them to have a break, learn more about each other and more about Jesus! We were both able to go for parts of this and really enjoyed the speakers for this event.
Senior Citizen’s Days
We had our annual Senior Citizen’s Days at camp! This tradition welcomed in 200 seniors from across the area to lunches at Camp Nathanael including a program to share the gospel and encourage service to Jesus. These are not just things we talk with kids about during the summer!
Volunteer Groups
We have also had some work teams in this month helping us gear up for summer. We have had teams build some bridges for our hiking trails, prep the pool, and help with some power-washing! You can hear more about that on our latest podcast with Jeremy Andrews. Jeremy helped lead a work team who came from Michigan to Kentucky for a week.
Work Week
Lee and I will be taking a bit of time off split over the next couple weeks and come back ready for “Work Week” and then summer camp follows up pretty quickly at the end of May. Work week is full of cleaning, prepping cabins and doing the last few projects so everyone can be ready for their responsibilities this summer. There is also always speaker sessions in the morning and evening so we can be poured into spiritually.

- Pray for our health! Everyone is currently healthy and we want to keep it that way through Summer.
- Pray for those coming to work as Summer Missionaries. Pray that God prepares their hearts and minds now.
- Start praying for the campers who will attend this Summer. Pray for their hearts and minds to be open and ready to accept the Gospel.
