October 2023 🌳🌲🪵

Outdoor Education Wrapped up

We finished out our last week of Outdoor Education the first week of October and finished strong! Overall we had over 3,000 students, teachers and parents come through our Trees-R-Terrific program this fall! Lots of kids experienced Camp Nathanael for the first time, opening the door for any more visits in the future! We had a day of clean up and camp got a bit quieter during the weeks for the colder months.

Fall Overnights

We had our Grade School Fall Overnight in October. So 66 4th-5th graders came and stayed for the night, experiencing all Camp has to offer. We know of one salvation decision that was made during the weekend and a few other decisions made! We thank God for using Camp to work in the lives of these young people.

Planning & Committees

Events don’t just happen. We all know this but if you have been on the planning side of any ministry or business you know it doesn’t come together overnight. All of camps ministries have groups of people who plan all of the individual events/ministries. We’ve had a lot of meetings and planning this month. Some of the committees help facilitate some major events at camp while others help with smaller events.

Lee serves on the

  • Voice of Camp Nathanael Podcast (interviewing mission members, pastors, volunteers, and talking about the ministries at camp)
  • Married Couples Retreat Committee (putting together the 2023 couples retreat at camp)
  • Mens Ministry Committee (planning awesome events to raise men up to be leaders in their homes and communities)
  • Lesson Revision Committee (writing and creating booklets used to teach kids the basics of Christianity and earn a free week of camp)

Tess serves on the

  • Family Camp Committee (planning the most amazing week for families at Camp Nathanael)
  • Outdoor Education Committee (putting together Outdoor Education Programs)
  • Womens Ministry Committee (planning all of the events for women)
