May 2026

Summer Camp training is happening! But May had a lot of activity as well!

Couples Retreat

We got to attend part of this year’s couples retreat! Rick Franklin, who has served with his wife for years at camp was the speaker. It was fun getting to participate and connect with other couples! We even had a couple from Ohio who found the retreat on Facebook and decided to give it a shot. It made for some good conversations hearing the many stories of how couples met and are growing together.

Work Week

We had our “Work Week” in May at Camp, prepping all the different areas. Deep cleaning, organizing, power washing, ect as well as making our camp books, printing schedules and all the final preparation that needs to be done. It is also a week we get poured into spiritually, with sessions morning and evening all week long. We also had childcare for all of our mission kids! We are so thankful for the church group that volunteered in this way allowing us to actually participate in the sessions (hello having 5 kids under age 8) and get some work done kid-free.

Family Updates

A quick update on fostering and the 2 that are currency with us (3 year old girl and 3 month old girl). It looks like they will be with us for at least the summer/foreseeable future. If you’re familiar with foster care its always a mystery what the next day holds. We’re thankful for the ways we can see God moving and it causes us to grow.

The kids finished school at the beginning of May. Jasper and Piper finished 1st grade and Jude graduated from preschool!

Jasper followed and is now following Jesus as his Lord! He also was baptized this month!

Prayer Requests

  • All the campers coming over the next few weeks-that God would prepare their hearts right now to hear the Gospel and respond to His truth
  • Our family as we have long full days of ministry with the whole family and will need lots of patience and energy.
  • The summer missionaries and other full time staff with all the work that gets done by all.
  • Our foster daughters and their families
