March 2025
What happened in March?
The first weekend in March was our second ever College Retreat. There were many repeat campers from last years retreat with some new friends as well. Curt Vernon, from Commonwealth City Church in Lexington, returned from last year to speak and sing on Friday and Saturday. Cory Heintzelman, from First Baptist Hindman, spoke Sunday morning.
Weekend Overnights were back!
We had quite a few overnight events for grade school and middle school students this month. Each Friday and Saturday was filled with games, food, and worship. They give campers a small taste of summer camp. The last weekend of middle school students was especially full for a weekend event!

We currently have a group at camp that is repairing the Swinging Bridge! This was damaged during the flood of 2022 and has been unusable since then. We are super thankful for this work team and the funding we got to do these repairs. More pictures of the rebuilding to come!

Prayer Requests
- Kickstart soccer, a soccer ministry by our church, is using the fields at Camp Nathanael. It’s a great community outreach and it starts in April!
- Pray as our kids finish up school at the beginning of May! Pray they are able to finish strong and continue to learn and grow.
- Pray for the future campers finishing up their lessons so they can come to camp for free this summer! We also always have kids that need to come to camp on a scholarship (with the hopes that they will do their lessons the next year.) If you are interested in donating a scholarship for a child to come to camp this summer please reach out about that! It costs $250 for a week of camp for one child.
