May 2025 ⚒️
Our kids finished the school year the first week of May! In the Fall, Jude will be in Preschool and Piper and Jasper will be in 1st grade! Though school is fun, they are so excited to spend the summer at Camp!
Work Week (May 12th-16th)
Work week 2025 was a success. We got lots of big and little projects done around camp to prep for summer, deep cleaning most of the buildings, some building projects, grounds keeping, and other preparations were made. Our kids even got to help out with some of the projects. The week is not just about getting the grounds ready, but also about getting us ready. There are morning and evening sessions of preaching, singing, and praying.
We were blessed with a church work group that came and did an entire program for our mission kids during our morning and evening services, allowing all of us parents actually to attend and enjoy the services! We were very thankful. The kids learned some Bible stories, did crafts, sang songs, and even memorized Bible verses!

Another big project during Work Week was installing a bathroom into one of our girls’ cabins (*India), the last cabin that was without a bathroom! And we are actually planning on using this cabin for our mission kids this summer during our morning program, Kids Club.
*Cabins are named after countries that Missionaries who are associated with or came from Camp were sent.
What are we going to be doing this Summer?
This summer, Lee will be teaching some Bible classes each week along with his normal office duties. Tess will be in charge of the 0-2 year-old class during our morning Kids Club. We have 5 boys age 1-2 in this class! We are blessed with lots of Mission Kids, and very thankful we have a program for them this summer. Tess will also be managing the Souvenir Shop and attending to some other normal duties. We are excited for the summer!

Between Work Week and the beginning of Camp we were able to squeeze in a family trip to Texas! We had a 1,100 mile road trip to visit family and had a blast! We are back and ready for the kids to come! Our Summer Missionaries (college and high school age) arrived this past weekend and are doing their orientation training week, and on Wednesday starts our Day Camp, where 1st-3rd graders come for 3 days.
- Day Camp: 6/4-6/6 from 9am-2pm
- Grade School Week: 6/8-6/13
- Middle School Week: 6/15-6/20
- High School Week: 6/22-6/27
- Family Camp: 6/29-7/3
- Middle School Week: 7/6-7/11
Following, there will be some new additions to Camp Nathanael with a Youth Conference and with that, new mission opportunities.
Prayer Requests
- Be in prayer for our summer missionaries, chapel speakers, missionary speakers, volunteers, and all the full-time staff serving this summer.
- Be in prayer for all the kids (and families) who will attend camp this summer! Pray for God to prepare their hearts now to hear His Word.
- Be in prayer for our family as summer camp is hard! Long full (but fun) days make for tired kids (and parents). Pray for our endurance to work hard to make each week special for the kids who are coming.
- We have a few more spots open during the Grade School and Middle School weeks. Pray we get even more campers as the weeks approach and pray for them!
