Outdoor Education – Pioneer Days
Another full month of ministry! Our Outdoor Education program has been exhausting, but amazing! We have had so many school kids come to our campus and learn about Pioneer Living and the ways God provided in those days! We are finishing up our last week of the program this week and should have final numbers next month of how many actually came. We both got to help out in different ways and even our kids got to join in a couple times. We had classes for candle making, quilting, weaving, blacksmith ing, farming, bread and butter making, school teaching and laundry, as well as letting the kids participate in pioneer games (stilts, grace hoops, climbing haystacks), milking fake cows and getting to pet some animals! It’s definitely a fun time!
There were also a couple of projects being completed by some churches and builders: 1. New roofing on a couple of buildings with leaks 2. And a crew worked on replacing no longer working lights in the Gym with new LED lights. These projects were done on the side while the Field trips were happening.
October!
In October we have weekend overnights 3 weekends in a row! Be in prayer now as we promote these events and encourage kids to join us. They play games, eat good food, make new friends and learn about Jesus during chapel. They are always a blast. Lee continues in his office work throughout the weekdays, so having these Friday night/Saturday events means we stay really busy all month long. We are excited to see how God works during these upcoming weekends.
